Pregnancy Tests
Have you missed your period? Are you experiencing symptoms of pregnancy like morning sickness, fatigue, breast
tenderness, frequent urination, or mood changes? Is there the potential for pregnancy and you want to be sure?
Cost
Our pregnancy tests are offered free of charge.
Making an Appointment
LifeCare Center East
provides free pregnancy tests Monday - Friday.
You do not need to make an appointment. Simply walk in during office hours. Please come into the center at least a half hour before closing time.
Friday
10:00am - 12:00pm
What to Expect
Pregnancy test sessions last anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour.
These sessions involve an intake interview with one of the peer counselors, completing the urine-based pregnancy test, reviewing results and discussing any issues of concern.
You will be asked to sign a consent form giving
LifeCare Center East
permission to perform the pregnancy test.
About the Test
Our pregnancy test is 99% accurate if you have missed your period, but drugs or other factors can affect it. Only a physician can provide 100% confirmation of pregnancy. You may also schedule to have an ultrasound done for confirmation by our on site nurse.
Be aware that if your test is positive today, and you have any medical problems and/or are on any medication, you should consult a physician immediately.
If your test is negative, you may return in 1 - 2 weeks for a retest.
